Monty is a girl! 
Cannot recommend Aquatica in Wakefield enough - the guy there was really friendly, spoke to him for ages chatting all things snake, and showed me his pair of Royal in full lock. Plus he probed Monty for me, all for the costly sum of £3.50 
And, I get to collect my new Fire male tonight - will be a long drive and a late night, but worth it.
