So I was checking in on Monty for the night, and as I slid the glass open to her viv, the glass fell out!! Luckily I caught it due to my cat-like reflexes, but my first thoughts (aside from "Good catch Dan, good catch") were "What the actual frig?"
So under closer inspection, it seems that the roof of the viv has warped upwards, opening up the gap between the runners, so much so that when the glass is in the middle, its enough to drop out!
I've stacked 10kg of weights on top of it now which is just enough to level it back out again - but has anyone else had anything like this happen?? |

| one of my vivs top warped up after i cut the silicone to remove the top, and i forgot to re seal it. luckily it was only the top and not the piece between the top and the glass (if that makes sense). i just drove a couple of screws down through the top to solve it |

| yeah i would think it would be the cause, the heat from the bulb will warp the chipboard or whatever timber related product your viv is made from. all my other vivs are fully sealed around every internal join so acts like a glue (it was a bugger breaking the seal to remove the top. |

Ah well, job for the weekend. The weights seem to be straightening it out nicely so I'll run some screws into it and seal the whole thing up with some silicone.
Gives me an excuse to use the "emergency RUB" I've set up  |
