Ok so ratchet is in the middle if his first shed with me and I have little knowledge of how they are when they are shedding. (He is currently cloudy and I have just added a wet hide)

I got him out today and noticed he kept making a noise (I seem to think it is when he is inhaling/exhaling air) but it sounds like a squeak every time. (Kind of like a mouse squeak)

I don't know what it could be. (Note that when I tried to get him out yestoday he decided to dunk his head in the water for a second or 2)

Anyone have any idea's what it could be?

I can just see him rubbing his nose against a rock at the moment.

Sounds like loose skin (soon to be shed; they shed plugs of skin out of their nostrils and heat plugs) in his nostrils - can often cause a click, whiffle or squeak. Hope he has a good shed.

Rather than loose skin round the nostrils towards the end of the shedding process that can cause clicking/sneezing etc it is likely if he is still blue and the skin has not come loose yet to be tight skin at the nostrils closing the airway slightly causing a squeaky nose (bit like we humans get from time to time). Its totally fine, if the nostrils were blocked or causing him any bother he would open his mouth and breathe that way. Its very common for their breathing to become audible during a shed. If the mouth and nostrils are dry and free from bubbling and general slobberyness its more likely to be as a result of shedding and not an RI.

Brilliant, did he shed well for you, give you something interesting to look at or a pile of crispyness?

Not many stop at one snake, I've on number 4 with plans for 1 more and a whole room full of other strange and wonderful things.
