| The cage ones are better in my opinion, the ones with the hood still give snake plenty of places to climb that are going to be red hot. |

| as lotabob says cages are better. i had a reflector dome one for a while (not in the viv, sat above the mesh top of those exo glass ones) and it would get very hot |
