| Where is best to put probe I have mine directly under heat lamp along with the temp probe but if Marty decides to sit on it or move it the power to the bulb will increase causing the heat to rocket, am I just worrying and have got it in the right place or is there somewhere better to place it? |

| I'm interested as well Carl having just set up Slinky's viv with a 150w infrared..I placed the stat probe inside his cave hide, and its sitting steady at 32c, cool end 27c |

| all my probes apart from the AHS one are on the floor at the back in the middle of the viv. i just put them where the snakes don't curl up and sleep |

| Its right outside his hide so I think he'd rather curl up and sleep in there was just worried in case he does decide to stay on it with it being right under the lamp he'd feel the effect of the lamp getting more power straight away, would he move if it was getting too hot? Caught him being naughty last night too trying to wrap himself around the bulb guard will post pic soon |
