Sanke decided she didn't want the lid on tonight, I stupidly agreed to let her eat hanging from the rim thinking I could get some good feeding shots.
Then she reminded me why I don't leave the lid off and why she sits somewhere quite for 20 minutes after feeding before the lid comes off, the first strike was a very near miss, Luckily she was laden with rat in her neck so she didn't fully extend.
About 15 minutes of this stand off and she left enough of her tail unguarded for me to grab her and scoop her up, put her back before she could cause any more trouble.

Well, you got the good feeding shots lol - cool pics, she's a beaut!
Yeah, tickle their tails - first thing every snake keeper finds out, to direct the snake (well we hope) to where we want it to go (again we hope ...)
Hope William enjoys his grub Chris - sure he will lol. |

Boas might be, but Furbies aren't lol
Fea did that, hooked the rim, so I fed the mouse and gradually prised his off the edge and lowered him in, tickling his tail doesn't work on Fea, he either just ignores it or finds it mildly annoying but won't move if he doesn't feel like it lol..he He lets me pick him up pretty much as soon as the mouse is swallowed.
Sanke is a lovely lad, I love his colouration :) I'll have to take a few pics of Fea feeding, I don't have any yet. |
