Well, the pattern is obvious now... every time Chancho randomly doesn't feel like eating, it's with a striped rat (white with a black stripe down the back)
I've heard of royals not eating black rats, or not white rats... but to refuse a rat with a stripe takes the biscuit!
Can you tell what's happened tonight?!
Honestly!
He was all excited at the smell of me warming up the rat with the hairdryer as always, but soon as i offered it to him, he just froze. Normally it's POW! gone! OM NOM NOM! But never with the stripey rats... surely a stripey rat can't smell any different?! But he always turns his nose up at the stripey rats! He just sits nose to nose with it and then after about 5 mins he'll retreat to his hide, or want to come over for a climb up my arm instead. He never eats anything left over night - if he doesn't 'kill' it, he wont eat it.
Daft snake!! he's like one of them kids that wont eat chips unless they're crinkley cut (they all taste alike!!) oh hang on... i think I had that phase too!
