Would have thought it would have healed fully in that time Maybe he's just caught it on something and opened it up on the surface
Should heal quickly just keep it clean Maybe the vets can get you some cream for it |

im sure the umbilical cord goes from the vent to the tail as on some snakes you can see a faint line down the scales for vent to tail, could be wrong though will check in a bit |

The umbilical thingy snake belly button is the line exactly where that wound is. Its not unheard of that this bit can be weak, fingers crossed it seals up of its own accord if not a vet could pop a few stitches in no problems so it holds shut while it heals. You've done the good thing of switching to kitchen roll and are keeping it clean. |

Hey Sw1fty, you are right, they do have a similar mark from that. I just checked out my 3 hatchlings to be sure. None of them look as pink, but it is there. Do you want me to post pics? |

Great thanks guys. Im cleaning it twice a day and cleaning his temp plastic viv everyday with disinfectant, clean towel and disinfected water bowl just to be safe.
He is very happy in himself, really active and is eating fine.
I just need to keep an eye on him and if it doesnt start healing in a few days ill take him to the vet. |
