I'm not too far away from here, 20 minute drive or so, so going use it as an excuse to go for a walk round the reservoir and see if I can spot it - although I hope it's found safe and sound before then!

It's a pretty large area, with lots of surrounding woods and grassland - not much chance of spotting it I wouldn't have thought - but its an excuse for a nice walk out if nothing else.

I don't know a thing about Boas so wouldn't have a clue what to do with it other than call the RSPCA if I did find it. How long do you reckon they can survive out "in the wild"? I imagine temperature would be the biggest problem - lucky it's pretty warm at the mo!!

in all honesty i wouldn't know how long it would survive for, i would imagine it would slow its body down with it not being as hot as it should be kept at. it might get lucky with rats running around but if its not hot enough it might struggle to digest it

Ha I must be really cynical but when someone in marketing discovers a boa and captures a perfectly lit and focused photo I immediately think promo. See I now have the company name in my head. Biskit lol.

I must admit Bob, when I realised the guy owned a business, I did raise an eyebrow myself - quite how he'd benefit from a hoax Boa sighting though is anyones guess.

I saw the Boa on the news this morning, apparently a walker videod it slithering into long grass.
For once they did report that it posed no threat to people, but warned to keep dogs on leads lol

oops scratch that, its the same report, nothing new

Nah it is probably genuine, my mind just analysed the facts first before fully buying into it. lol. Sad that they get abandoned when so many of us would happily take in a free animal. lol.
