So I got Tig from Coast to Coast in Darlington. It was a great place and I'd never been anywhere like that before. It was great to see everything they had there, all the Snakes, Lizards, Spiders, Tortoises... they even had a pair of Skunks! I loved to see everything and proably would have asked to hold most things if I wasn't so scared of people : /
Anyway, I live in Consett which is in County Durham, just about. It's a difficult place to live sometimes 'cause I don't have as much as other people do as far as shops go. Even just everyday kinda shops aren't all that good. Hence why I was taken all the way to Darlington. It was a big ask but I don't think my Step-dad (the family taxi) minded that much once we got there.
But I was just wondering if there were any good rep shop nearer to me? I've heard there's one in Newcastle? Neither me or my mam had heard of one there before going to Darlington but if it's any good I'd like to go see : ) Does anyone know anything about it? Ever been?
There is another one that I do know about that is the place I got Pandora, my Corn Snake, from. I think it's in Sunderland. I know it's name but I won't mention it in case I can't. But unfortunatly it seems to have really gone down hill and we weren't treated very nicly when I was taken there last time (to go see Royals). I actually was a bit upset by it really so I'd not like to go there again : (
I told my mam that I'd like to go somewhere to see both Beardies and Cresties to maybe get a better idea about which one I might like as a new friend. So if there's somewhere closer to me then it might be easier to get there is all.
We'll probably go to Coast to Coast again some time 'cause it was really good, the kinda place you could spend all day in. I enjoyed it : )

| There's a few good ones i got my corn from the reptile hotel they have 2 shops one in south shields and one on birtley high street which is probably closer then there is team reptiles in team valley next to retail world which is good both these have websites and Facebook pages to find directions than there is two in blaydon marvelous monsters and blaydon exotics the 2nd has more reps than the 1st then you have dragons den on the coast road in newcastle they also have a shop in morpeth and a website for directions then animal tracks in ashington but that's probably a bit far for you. can you tell what i do in my spare time lol |

Alright, I live near newcastle. There is team reptiles at team valley which is good. But the ones I use most are Dragons Den. They have a shop in newcastle and one in morpeth

The newcastle shop has a full size burm as a store pet. its awesome!!
I would say the morpeth shop is much better for stock though. |

The Dragon's Den shops look good. I'll send that link to my mam and see what she thinks. I'll also C&P all the ones you've just listed carlb1981 'cause that's all good to know too.
Well, the real reason for going is to see about Beardies and Cresties and to deside which one might siut me better as a new friend... but I do miss my baby boy, Tig. I still have his viv set up 'cause I don't want to empty it. I know that probably sounds a bit pathetic, but it feels like if I empty his viv then there'll be nothing left of him. Does that make sense?
Anyway, knowing me, I'll clap eyes one some gorgious little baby Royal and need to bring it home with me. As we all do, right?

| Well team reptiles and the reptile hotel do comps on Facebook if you join there pages usually photo comps with vouchers as prizes also team reptiles do regular raffles for every fiver you spend you get a ticket and the prizes are quite good they have one on today so I've just been up and getting a few things i probably didn't need just to get a few raffle tickets lol |

Aww, I'm not on Facebook. I just don't trust places like that... think I'm the only one though : / Plus the thought of all those people makes my head spin!

| The prizes are quite good last one they gave away 4ft 3ft vivs as top prizes along with heat mats food etc for smaller prizes although winning things like vivs and heat mats might breeding cause to go out and buy a resident to occupy them lol |

ATM I'm needing a few things for my other pets, like more plantation soil, aspen etc and my mam, with just getting her Toads yesterday, will also be needing more things soon. So might be an idea to give it a go. |

We're going to go to Blaydon Exotics. It has an aquarium bit as well so I can get the things I'm needing for mine while I'm on.
Might be going today, or if not it'll be Wednesday : ) I'm looking forward to it... as long as I can walk though the door.
Edit: Oh and it turns out that Dragon's Den is the shop where I had my unpleasant experience. We had the door slammed behind us too. But it looks nothing like it did back then (about two years-ish ago) and I notice that it's under new managment as well, so maybe the new owners are more friendly. I hope so 'cause when I went years ago to chose Pandora, my Corn Snake, they were lovely people. Friendly and helpful. It was a really nice place. |

| Blaydon exotics has plenty reps its a small place and a bit cramped which put me off a little when i first went but they are nice guys who run it and very willing ti help they have 2 crocs for sale which are cool :-) can't remember seeing any cresties but they had loads of beardies in enjoy your shop and good Luck finding what you want |

The crocs sound gadgy, are they Camen or full on Crocs?
How on earth do you keep a full grown Croc? You'd have to donate half your house! 0_o |

Just to let you know that I went to Blaydon yesterday. It was a nightmare to get there though 'cause half the roads were bloked 'cause of the flooding and we hadn't known. But we got there in the end.
I saw the Camen, they had three in one big glass house and another smaller one in a big viv.
I got to hold a baby Beardie and an adult, and I saw the Cresties they had in. They had a few different morphs including fire. They were so fidgety and quick though so I didn't get to hold one incase we lost it!
I got to hold a Lepard Gecko too. He was nice, and really bright yellow. Leo's are the ones my mam wants most so she was eyeing him up... along with the lovely baby Red Footed Torties they had that seemed to be eyeing her up too.
And I got to see all the Fish too. Didn't get to hold any though ; )
We'll be going back there again at some point since it's not that far away and the staff seemed friendly as well. It was only supposed to take half an hour to get there so maybe next time we'll be able to get there in less than two!
Oh, and how could I forget the gorgious little baby Royal that was taken out for me as we were getting ready to leave! He was so calm, bless him. He reminded me of Tig so much... |
