Hey guys! I have been thinking about getting a new snake (yes again) but I am unsure on what to get, I do not want a Carpet Python as they seem to get too long and thin.

I also don't want another royal just yet but I do want a new snake.

I am looking for one that can grow up to 8 or 9ft and is friendly (never been bitten "just yet" lol but they can't be worse than a hamster bite)

Anyway, I have looked and I cannot find many so I wanted to make this post to see if I could research one I have not seen.

Also in terms of price, Budget will be £100 - £200.

Thanks!

Is this with setup? As how many local pet shops have in woma pythons etc.

My point is...I've asked shops around here for things, either couldn't be asked or couldn't get them.So might have to courier if you find something you really like.

All they have round here is the normal things, like royals, corns, odd boa, boring £10 lizards, geckos etc etc.And the odd over priced rainbow boa

One shop had the same normal uromastyx for like 2 years,it was that over priced.there are two local places with a better selection, but one never cleans his vivs, other is just outright rude.

Id say 70/100 mile round trip to my best liked shop.

I was asking if his £100-£200 was his max for setup and snake.

PLus it would be more then £200 unless he can go pick it up.

Ok, I have a budget of between £100 - £200 without any setup. I will be getting that separately. Thanks for all your replies, People seem to keep suggesting Woma Python. The reason I want it to be a python is because of their looks mainly. I don't want a boa because I personally am not over keen on them.

I have heard that Macklots pythons can be quite snappy at times (tell me if I am wrong on that) and this is like Carpet Pythons from a very young age.

I am hoping to get a larger snake as it's viv will be a feature once I move house (not planning on getting snake until after I move)

The Dwarf reticulated get to about 12ft if I am not mistaken, is that right? because that may be a little to big. (I have been looking up on this post and looking at suggestions)

Also, The store I will be looking at the snakes from is quite a nice one. The Reptile Room in Cleveleys, they seem ok at getting different types of snakes in so I will find out with them.

Anyway, thanks guys for the replies, I will have to see at the local reptile store for stocks and availability and what not.

Oh I got the gist of the question, my point was that within 2mins I found a woma for £200. With some harsh negotiation, maybe £150

The collection/delivery costs always suck, that's part of the game though. 3 cheers for company diesel

Ps scrap the bredli idea, apparently they like to bite and, it's often not pretty
