Ok today I got tagged by my boa, this is the first time since I have kept snakes that this has happened. My family are against me keeping snakes, think they are man eaters, I know I should not of done this but I thought I would wind them up a bit.
The following is the exact conversation I had with my family via text this afternoon.

Me : I got bitten my a 9ft boa
My mum How did that happen where was you
Me : Getting Betty out she tried to kill me
My mum : Get rid of them richard before
they do.
Me : She has not eaten for a while, when I got her out she laid next to me for a while then all of a sudden tried to eat me
My mum : told you thats what they do.
My girlfriend then butted in to ruin my fun :Just ignore him none of that happened !! She is in shed, blind at the moment and when we put the moss in she got frightened and lashed out and managed to get Richard .
My mum : Well thank you richard you have made me feel ill and i have a real bad head ache and i am shaking badly thank you.
I then had to call her to appolgise for all the upset I caused, I have had snakes for years now,and even though I try to educate my parents, they still believe what they read in papers or hear from the hairdressers. In reflection I should not of done this but I do like to wind them up.

LMAO....can't beat a good wind up.

I have a similar problem, my Dad is terrified of snakes so I could never have one as a kid. He's coming over to stay for a few days on Thursday & asked if I was putting Apsalar into kennels while he was here..lol When I said no he asked what would happen if she got out...I havent answered him yet :)

To be honest, the best thing you could do is show your mum that bite mark. How can she be scared of something if thats the best it can do? I know thats not strictly true, but she doesnt have to....

You should get yourself to the joke shop, bit of make up for when you're next at Mums.
