Does anyone else find that hognoses tend to poo ALOT more than other snakes? And really stinks more than others too. Just wondering if that's normal? And why it might be. Im finding myself changing his substrate nearly every week cuz I'm getting moaned at by the Mrs he's stinking the house out lol |

I use lignocel which helps to neutralize the urate/poop smell a lot better than any other substrate I tried 
and yeah they do poop a hell of alot lol |

All normal there :) depends how much you feed it ofc to :) One of mine,does it in the water bowl all the time. |

it's a very foul smelling liquid they store near the vent(or somewhere in that area) that they realese when they feel threatened
the hoggy i had musked me when i picked him up to check all the shed had come off |

wait till you get musked by one that really is one evil smell, hoggies an grass snake's are the 2 worst snake's ive been musked by well so far anyway |

They got a fast metabolism, much quicker than a boa or royal.

the one i had used to poo a couple of time's a week if i remember right but i do remember it really stinking
problem i used to get was he would crap in his tunnel's so had to hunt for the turd |
