Posted - 15/11/2013 : 19:41:47 Your probably having this trouble because its winter time and you`ve got your central heating on, this will effect the humidity of the air in the house. You`ll get a better result if you remove the orchid bark and use paper, (use wall lining paper, from B&Q) then either a wet sponge or a wet flannel in the warm end. Misting on orchid bark with have no real effect. |

Posted - 15/11/2013 : 14:32:50 I use a wet flannel on top of the warm hide. Had to use the old 'slither through the wet t towel' trick on Sas though. Hehas trouble getting the skin off his back since he's been on kitchen roll. |

Posted - 14/11/2013 : 20:47:03 Thanks for the reply,I put him in a damp pillow case then sprayed the viv with look warm water and that seemed to help with the shed but I hope it didn't stress him to much because he don't need any excuse to stop eating, also my hygrometer reads 40 to 50%most of the time which I thought was ok for royals but I will go and get some moss just another question do yo keep the moss in the viv at all times or just during shedding? |

Posted - 14/11/2013 : 20:26:07 you could try putting a large surface area water bowl in warm end, damp towel or add a moss box for him to lie in. We missed one of our going in to shed, so its bath time and wet towel walkies. |
