stupid question but does it matter how you defrost prey in water or leave in a bag

i just leave mine to defrost on top of the viv.

I leave it ontop of the vivs all day, then heat them up a touch above a ceramic. This means they smell it all day and are more likely, imho, to eat.
Stig is scary, he can smell rats when they are still frozen!

My 07, Obran, wont eat rats that are wet, even if i dry them off and warm them up with a hairdryer ...

I tend to just get the prey out in the morning and then by the time im going to bed its defrosted and ready for warming up.

I dont think Scamps my 09 would care .. if it moves ITS FOOOOODDDDD!

If you put it directly into water you may was the scent off and your snake may not recognise it as food.
