Posted - 23/09/2009 : 22:35:54 I would try to get her onto rats. The sooner the better really - I left it late with Doug and he refuses to feed if just offered a rat; he will eat a rat though if he gets a mouse 1st! I've started my other 2 royals on rats straight away |

Posted - 23/09/2009 : 18:04:43 it's more of a problem when you have an adult royal........ you'd have to feed about 10 mice per feed rather than 1 or 2 large rats....... best off getting them onto a similar size rat as soon as possible, maybe a slightly bigger equivalent |

Posted - 23/09/2009 : 16:34:44 Hmm, doesnt really look big enough to be honest. Food should be about the same thickness as the fattest part of zippys body, either that or 10-15% of her bodyweight.
Do you know how heavy she is? Also it would be good to try and move her onto rats at some point as theyre more nutritious :)
