Well Oscar refused his meal last night! No interest at all. Left it in the viv overnight and still there this morning.  Hoping it's just a one off and not the start of a long fast. Serves me right for boasting that he's a really good feeder I suppose. Lol |

Ah I remember now about his growth spurt - not sure if they're known to put on a lot of weight before the fast, but a quick flick through my lot's records show them piling it on like nobody's business in the past couple of months. I reckon they know what they're doing ... |

He shed last week, so I know its not that. I posted a few days ago that he has put on 335g in just 5 weeks which I thought was a huge weight gain so I'm now thinking that he has been storing fat for this exact reason. Ahhh kinda makes sense now. Do they do that before fasting? |

Aww - it happens from time to time - but it's that time of year for royals. Or he might be going into shed; sometimes they refuse before they go blue.
And since he's been a really good feeder up till now, he's got plenty of fat to live on - whatever he does he won't starve overnight! |
