Hi guys just a quickie I recently moved one of my snakes into a 50ltr rub and have been fighting with the temps ever since, inside his cold hid the thermometer reads 22-23, the ambient temp seems to be about 28, but when I place the thermometer probe in his hot hide it read 38 so I'm at a loss as to what to do since his cold hide and ambient temps are almost spot on, any ideas would be gratefully received

I'm at a loss as to how you're getting an ambient temp of 28 in a rub. lol.

I put the thermometer probe and stat probe glued to the bottom of the RUB in the hot side and set that to 32oC. Everything else is dependant on the heat in the room. As long as the bottom of the RUB is 32oC though then the snakey always has somewhere to go to warm up even if they have to shuffle some substrate out the way.
