Posted - 22/04/2012 : 22:59:24 I usually feed mine two rats for some reason he won't take bigger ones I try to feed about 90g per meal Wich is about 11% of his body weight but I've offered countless amounts of 90g rats and he's not interested not even I leave them in overnight but I feed him 2x 45g rats he will strike both of them no problems. I usually feed 1 then offer 2nd about an hour later and never had a problem |

Posted - 21/04/2012 : 16:44:49 Oh good lad - yes, it depends on the snake, but if it's still peckish there's usually no problem in getting it to take another rodent. With my colubrids I just stick both rodents in at once; with the pythons, if they're on two per meal, I wait and offer a second once the first is down. |
