Posted - 10/06/2012 : 11:43:22 I manage 32 hot end and 25 cool end in RUB's. Heatmat and Matstat. Have to fiddle with the stats for a while but do-able! |

Posted - 08/06/2012 : 18:57:34 When I set up my viv I got the temps in the viv how I wanted them, then dropped a probe into the rub my snakes in (inside the viv) and the temps were really down. I now have a probe in the hot and cold end of her rub and it's probably 36 in the viv but 31-32 in the rub and around 27-29 cold end. She seems happier now it's warmer and changes between her hot and cold hides. |

Posted - 06/06/2012 : 01:47:55 I've had my normal royal since October last year, he is in a RUB with mat and stat, warm end is now at 32c, cold end never gets over 24, but never lower than 21, I've never had a problem with him and he has only ever missed one meal |

Posted - 05/06/2012 : 00:30:39 my cool end temps are 3ft viv with ceramic setups usually about 25 or 26 4ft vivs 23-25c depending on the weather the 3ft with a mat is 27-31 on the mat. not a royal though(theres a bit of fluctuation with the microclimate mat stat) an about 24-25 cool end but my room is fairly warm due to the vivs an boiler |

Posted - 04/06/2012 : 22:25:10 for mine i drill a hole in the roof of the viv, un wire the bulb holder, feed the cable through the hole and re wire it. i fix the cable to the outside of the roof of the viv with one of those cable clips (plastic semi circle with a pin in) and just have the holder hanging. its easier if you drill the hole for the cable and holes for the guard b4 you put the viv together. do all the feeding of the cable through after the viv is together |

Posted - 04/06/2012 : 19:54:20 i would imagine that wattage bulb would be ok but i don't use ir.
just make sure you get the right size guard to fit the length of bulb and fitting they come in 2 different lengths |

personally i don't use ir bulbs, maybe someone who uses them will be along in a bit who could help |

Posted - 04/06/2012 : 19:46:59 never used the arcadia ones myself mine are all komodo ceramic bulb holders.
is a b1 a dimmer stat? i would go with a higher wattage bulb maybe 100w (wont have to work as hard to maintain temps). all mine are run on ceramic bulbs, 150w in 3ft vivs, but i believe from what i have read that the ceramic wattage needs to be slightly higher to heat up, i did try a 100w ceramic in a 3ft viv but struggled to get correct temps |

Posted - 04/06/2012 : 19:37:35 would a arcadia ceramic light holder swell 60w basking bulb a micro climate b1 thermostat and a viv of Dimensions: 375x915x405mm (LxDxH |
