So.......I think i'm almost ready to make a purchase, I believe that I now know enough to enable me to give a royal a good home with my other pets but the last thing i'm stuck on is the housing.

From what I can gather and what i've been told its pointless getting a viv yet - now warrington exotics do a faunarium starter for £50, i didnt ask if that includes thermostat but i find it highly unlikely at that price.

My main problem is faunariums look not so great and also are terrible for maintaining humidity.

So, do I get a RUB? or how about this from 888? http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/productdetails.php?ProductID=7160&ProductGroupID=2966

Any ideas as to what is the best setup (hopefully buy as a starter kit) and then eventually move it up to a terrarium.

Thanks.

Just had a weigh in.

Roger - 765g
Alesia - 290g
Didn't weigh ZhuZhu as he seemed very shy being handled for the first time so I had him out for 5 minutes ball'd in my palm then put him back.

Roger - strike - small rat (although it looked bloody big to me)
Alesia - strike - now on weeners as the fluffs weren't at all big enough
ZhuZhu (new boy from last weekend so his first feed) - strike - he's on Alesia's left over fluffs

Will weight them all on Sunday but Roger is getting big quick which makes me think that perhaps when I got him he was maybe a little malnourished and the size he is now is the size he is supposed to be, and not that he is growing quickly, if that makes sense (I did wonder about his health AFTER I got him because of the bad shed - he's shed twice for me now and they have both been perfect so he isn't a "bad" shedder)

ZhuZhu displayed no visible head bobbing whilst feeding.

Both fed last night. Roger decided to eat in his water bowl which was........interesting. Alesia took hers to her hide, spat it out then tried again. Going to have to increase the size of her prey because it just isn't big enough at the moment.

Roger is over double the weight of Alesia but her strike is so much more violent, she ripped the rats tail off!

I normally just leave them alone until they have shed.
