Posted - 30/10/2011 : 08:39:31 iv got my water bowl in the middle of my 2 foot viv for my normal. that viv is on a bulb and the humidity is 55-60%. she still likes her damp hide tho... reckon iv got a shed on the way. |

Posted - 29/10/2011 : 21:48:34 Looks great, and a happy snake too.
Mine have water bowls the same size in their 3' vivs and when they're in blue I move the bowl into the hot end and they shed fine. Surahi had a bit of skin stuck last time but it was during that freak hot spell when a couple of my colubrids had bad sheds despite extra humidity. I don't find the large bowl causes any condensation or anything like that - mind you I usually half fill it, so that if they get in, the water doesn't get out. |

Posted - 29/10/2011 : 21:06:55 I was just wondering as with the heat coming of the bulb and the water bulb in there It must up the humidity a bit
I may be wrong |

Posted - 29/10/2011 : 20:49:58 thanks. to be honest i dont know. i only up the humidity when their shedding the rest of the time its whatever the natural humidity is in my house. which im guessing is around 50-60% |
