Just a little video of my new pastels first feed. I was thinking this little rat fluff might be a little small, what do you all think? She didnt even get a bulge off this one, I've got a couple of rat weaners that look a little wider than her body I might try next. Thanks for watching anyway!

Wow Polly doesn't mess about. great strike. Yeh as Con said she can definately go with a bigger one and as Bats said 10-15% of polly's body weight. |

Yeah that was what they call a fluff. The small weaners that our pet shop are selling are 26-40gm and at her lightest, just after a poo and before a feed she was 160g. I've got 2 or 3 fluffs left so I'll stick with them for a couple of weeks I think |

Yes, she does look as if she could eat a bigger rat. Was that one what they call a 'fluff'? Blackecho once posted a good guide, with 10-15% of the snake's bodyweight as a good size to feed. The small weaner rats I buy are 37gm approx, just as a guide.
