Just a little video of my new pastels first feed. I was thinking this little rat fluff might be a little small, what do you all think? She didnt even get a bulge off this one, I've got a couple of rat weaners that look a little wider than her body I might try next. Thanks for watching anyway!

Wow, good little striker! And does that girl know how to get down to her chow! Love the triumphant smirk at the end lol.
Yes, she does look as if she could eat a bigger rat. Was that one what they call a 'fluff'? Blackecho once posted a good guide, with 10-15% of the snake's bodyweight as a good size to feed. The small weaner rats I buy are 37gm approx, just as a guide.

| Yeah that was what they call a fluff. The small weaners that our pet shop are selling are 26-40gm and at her lightest, just after a poo and before a feed she was 160g. I've got 2 or 3 fluffs left so I'll stick with them for a couple of weeks I think |

| Wow Polly doesn't mess about. great strike. Yeh as Con said she can definately go with a bigger one and as Bats said 10-15% of polly's body weight. |
