Posted - 07/04/2013 : 08:12:05 The rubs will be better if you want to use a lid and i think they have more height, if using the ikea tubs a gap of 2-5mm will be ok if its for larger snakes and that would do for ventilation and for heat mat something that covers a third of the floor space so for a 70l rub a 23" x 11" heatmat will be perfect |

Posted - 06/04/2013 : 23:47:29 Ok , what do you do for ventilation, and what sort of gap from top of rub to shelf above, I was going to use mats, what size do you recommend, sorry to be a pain but any thing else you can think of that might help me with my design. Cheers |

Posted - 06/04/2013 : 12:04:25 If your going for the ikea pax wardrobe for your rack frame im sure the shelf spacing is spot on for lidless tubs |

Posted - 06/04/2013 : 11:12:00 they are really good tubs, the only problem is they need to be used within a rack as the lids are useless. it is the rack setup I shall be using when I move house |
