Posted - 22/12/2011 : 18:50:55 Oops sorry, meant to say I leave it in the cool end otherwise it would be well rancid - and yes it will have been living in the freezer before meeting with its maker, I mean Ziska. Good luck with Monty - he'll get there! |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 18:39:34 according to the breeder Monty was striking very well up until his move...hopefully he'll come into his own soon |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 18:34:01 Just make sure you leave the mouse in the cool end not he hot end. The only time i would say not to leave a food item in with a royal is if the food item is alive. |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 18:26:24 My Ziska will NOT feed unless the rodent's left overnight these days ...just don't leave in the viv over the next day, and any sign of bloated belly (rodent that is, not snake) ditch the poor little critter fast as it's decomposing and gases are building up. |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 08:00:29 i wouldn't worry about it not eating for 3 weeks. as kelf says its normal for them to go off their food. im up to 15 weeks with my female pastel |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 00:22:52 bloody hell a year lol.....should i leave the mouse in the viv kelf? |

Posted - 22/12/2011 : 00:20:36 You're not doing anything wrong, that behaviour is normal. What isn't normal is a royal python eating every week :P Just keep track of his weight and don't worry until it begins to drop too much, even if he doesn't feed for a year :) |

Posted - 18/12/2011 : 19:09:52 I had a female royal that was eating fine until I moved her from a rub to a viv and she went off food for 3 months and then suddenly started eating like there was no tomorrow - lol |

Posted - 17/12/2011 : 21:47:38 Yeah I wouldn't say the temps at that would be a reason for not eating, just never known anyone have them that high before... And leave him for a week or so before offering food. |
GMac |
Posted - 17/12/2011 : 21:10:54 dont see any problems with your temps at all would leave it where it is.
Would give it a weeks break and dont handle just let it be for this week. |
