Well we picked up our python on Tuesday, we've called him Ozzy, he's lovely and he has settled in really well.
I'm a newby with snakes and wondered if you could help me.
When we visited him and also when we picked him up he felt really warm. Since we have got him home he constantly feels cold. His temperature is set right in the Vivarium. Is this normal? Also we have been getting him out alot at night as he seems happy with us handling him and letting him have a nosey around, but is there a maximum time you can keep him out of the Viv?
i would personnaly not handle him for about 7days just to let him settle in and get him feeding. your snake will know when he needs to heat up. but like i say i would let him settle in for a week and get him feeding first
Hi Sherrie. As long as temps in the viv are correct he should be fine. Most people agree on 32c at the warm end, and human body temperature is 37c so he will feel cool to the touch.
