well i have her and she is

soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tiny...

But she unballed very quickly in my hands and is active enough, eyes and skin are nice and clean to...

She is a December 08, she was in a faunarium with one hide a moss box and water bowl...

so i have transferred her now to a 9l rub inside a viv with two small hides and water and she is covered.

Fingers crossed Eh?

she spits out rat pups and will only take a pinkie on assist feed..

suggestions are more than welcome

It's just patience and persistence from here........

I have always used rat pups, if you can get it far enough back they tend to swallow (one of those gentle but forceful things)

If it really won't take a rat, then I would try small mice brained

Apparently she spits them out...i will try her first with a rat pup and see how we go..

Am going to try what i did with my corn...put it inside an empty kitchen roll and leave her to it overnight, but not yet, will give her a week to ten days first...

Thanks Karl;-)

With assist feeding i was told to surport the snake open the mouth and straighten the neck out if you know what i mean and then gently push the food item in.
Also seen assist feeding do the same as above then put the snake down and tickle its tail whilst they chomp it down and make sure they dont back up and spit it out

She might be better in time, she is now being kept at the right temps, where as before they were lower but measured without a stat inside the faunarium she was in...so they could have been even lower than the 80-84 she was being kept at....she also has two hides now rather than one so has a choice..

last night was the first time i had seen Kaz out of her hides, was a bit worried this morning as she was on top of one head in the air..

I had to get her out and check, i was thinking RI, but could not hear anything or see anything,

Anyway, got Echo out to feed him, warmed up the rat and she was watching, not sure if it was Echo or the smell of warmed up rat..

If she is still out i am thinking she might be hungry, Peanut sits in his branches when he has digested his getting near to feeding time..

Is it to early to try a feed? wont do it till tonight anyway

warmed up a fuzzie right next to her rub, over a bowl of hot water,

she was in her hide when i first put it in there.

when i went to see if it was ready she was out.

So she must be hungry.

put the fuzzie on top of her moss box, and i really thought she was going to take it first time.

i have covered her rub and will check back. in a while

fingers crossed eh-)

Honestly, I have never had a Royal take a mouse/rat when left. I know people do, but mine always either strike or aren't ready.

Fingers crossed for next time.
