I would love one but I can't have anything venomous in the house  . Yeah, I understand about the allergies. But, you might want to check out the SnakeBytesTV episode where they showcased the hognose. It shows how they tried to get Chewy bit. It really takes quite a bit of chomping before the hoggy can inject venom. So, unless you plan to use your hand as a snack, you should be fine. They are very reluctant to tag you, and even when they do, they tag you with their mouths shut and you just get a bump of the nose. They're crazy snakes. They hiss and make like a cobra, even striking (with mouth closed), then become like babies when you pick his hissy self anyway. Really cool snakes. |
