Old Royal - I Post too much!

This is for my GSD Sadie who died suddenly in my arms 3 years ago tomorrow..
She was my life, everyone adored her, she was the star of the street...and a blessing in my life..
We had some magical times together, times i will never ever forget, nor will i understand how she was healthy when i went to bed the night of 25th May 2006 and the following morning i woke she could not walk or breath...She was dying at only 9 years old, she should have had many more years with me.
I tried so hard to save her..she died in my arms..I could not save her.

Well maybe that's true,

I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried-
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still-
In my heart you hold a place,

And heartache make a lane-
I'd walk a path to Heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same-
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
My fave photo of her, i used to call her my little polar bear...cos she loved the snow so much

| Anne you know I know exactly what you mean, I still feel like Steve was kind of stolen from me, but it's not the length of our babie's lives it's the quality of them that counts. Returning the hugs you so kindly gave me |

i was a bit hesitant to post this because i did not want to upset you after you just losing your baby...
i understand the pain you went through..
Something odd happened today, well not odd, but when she was alive we used to go to a quarry and she would sit with me whilst we watched the house martins, they used to come in real low and close to us...
the day she died they came to my house and kept landing on the walls..they had never done this before, but they did the day she left me and i am sure she sent them...i know this makes me sound crazy, but it what i believe and these birds have been here again yesterday and today...
thats how i know she was here.. |

Don't worry about it, my big fat teddy bear is happy & pain free, it doesn't sound crazy it's a sign that they're looking down on us, i'm not at all religious but i do believe in spirits. Steve's come home now, Sadie has too, although they aren't with us physically they are spiritually.  |

| Sadie is part of what has made you, you. Steve will always be my big fat teddy bear, Him & Tazz, my first son, have made me what I am, it may be that for me, that cats & snakes benefit, or for you dogs & snakes benefit, but either way our children will always be with us. It's tough on the anniversaries but some years are tough, some years are happy, either way keep strong the last thing that sadie would want is for you to be unhappy. |

although most of us have never met, that we all are on this forum almost every day creates a bond of friendship in a way. and sorrow should be shared among friends. |

this is a great forum, and there are some special people in here...
it is also nice that you can ask about a problem with your snake without getting jumped on or made to feel stupid..
i could if allowed talk about my snakes all day long, but nobody around me likes snakes apart from Glenn...so i just talk to Peanut instead...and tell him everyday how he is my special boy...
I love my other royals to, but he is special..and you should see his colour out in the sunlight..he is amazingly beautiful...and i feel almost the same about him as i did my dog Sadie... |
