Better on Rats anyway as mice won't be big enough forever. |

ewwww when i got up this morning Zeus had ripped his Rat pup in half and eaten the bottom half lol and Hera had also ripped hers in half and just left it! Is this normal Royal behaviour? i just found it strange that they had both done the same thing
At least Zeus has eaten something |

I've never seen Evra do it before, but SN might know. He's got loads of Royals.
I think Hera's is a monkey see- monkey do thing |

that would make sense coz they were in their feeding tubs next to each other, so would have been able to see |

i must admit i have never seen that with mine, they either eat or they don`t, normaly snakes don`t rip and chew their food like other carnavours, they just swallow, could the pups have been damaged and just fell apart when they were getting them into position to swallow? |

Snakes dont really have the gnashers to rip the flesh, just grip it |

no there was nothing wrong woth the rat pups before i fed them, i only know coz i was dangling them about to try to get them to eat them. i also always check they dont hava anything stuck to them coz i've had a few with saw dust n such stuck to them. i dod think it was a bit strange

May sound like a silly question but can anything get into the viv. I only ask because my brother used to keep rats and he got up one morning to discover a half eaten mouse in their cage that he hadn`t put in and then discovered that they had come in from outside. |
