This might be a little controvertial but i will ask anyway...

Is anyone else being put of royals completely due to the amount of new morphs that are turning up it seems every other week. It seems that royals are going down the corn snake route with everyone trying to create new morphs just to make money.

IMO it is making them alot less desireable...

i will always prefer normals to any morph any day :)some are pretty but IMO not worth the money.

This is a tricky one. I've always been 100% normals all the way (in any reptile to be honest) but recently i've been looking at Mojaves and its got me thinking ....

I do think one day in the future it will be normals that will be like gold dust to get hold of though!

Ant.

To be honest, with every new morph that comes out, im less inclined towards them. I dont want a perfect predator pet that has been fiddled to look like a cartoon drawing.

Ah I see, heading towards the carpets with less crazy morphs?

Im after a male normal in the future, but that will do me for royals. After that I will see what I like the look of.

I think some of the morphs are a waste of time tbh. But I do like BELs. I think the 4x morphs are starting to be the really nice ones.

All that is happening is Spiders and Pastels and the like will come down in price

Said it before, will say it again. 3x normal Royals cost about £150. Keep them as pets for 2 years, then on the third breed (1male 2 females).

This way you get free snakes as the 10 or so a year pay for your food/heating.

Paying £1000s for snakes and you will see diminishing returns (a £500 snake this year would sell for £400-450 tops next year etc)

There will always be a requirement for well priced "cheaper" morphs, still say normals are the prettiest....(and most varied)
