Hello! I'm getting my new royal soon (CB09) and he/she is just a foot long. I'm unsure of what size Rub to get, but I have seen a 9l around and I'm just wondering if its suitable?
Thanks! |

Hi exotic... WELCOME!
You know you are much much much better than me. My hats off to you. My husband brought home our very first royal without anybody knowing anything about them! We didn't have a proper viv - she stayed in an exo-terra tank without heat or hides on her first night. The next day, I spent $300 getting her a proper viv - a 75gallon glass tank for a baby royal! I didn't know about them getting stressed with big vivs and all that. I finally joined a forum a month later and that's when I started fixing everything that was wrong with the viv. Sure learned my lesson!
I'm so happy that you are doing your research before you get your royal. |

Thanks anatess!! I'm sure that your royal is thriving in its new environment :) I went and got the RUB today, along with some plants, and other hidey places!! I'm also going to make a 'homemade' hide later today (Well, I'm gonna' try anyway!) I'm really looking forward to getting my 1st royal, and sharing photo's with other royal owners!! I mean, family do have some interest but nothing like the people on here, and other rep. forums :D

Just set up the tub. Had a go at making a homemade hide, and threw it in the bin after 5 minutes! I have a cave, a large plant/flowers giving lots of cover, a toilet tube and a water bowl...Is this ok? I've read that they like 'cramped' enclosures! :) |

more cramped the better, if they can move around the whole viv without being seen babies are happy.
Saying that, my two new CF09s are out and about EVERY time I enter the room, yet to see them IN a hide. |
