I made one last week, it took around 7 hours in the oven. I was a chef for 25 years and can tell you its not the easiest pastry to roll as you dont want it to thick as youll be cooking it for days. It would probably be easier to do one with paper mache. Once painted and sealed with varnish it should last just as well. Anyway heres my effort
well i got a shallow one in the oven right now as dont have a vast aray of bowls for the oven.. so used small cassarole lid. so far its hardening nicely..
werent in a hurry... besides turned oven off at 3 this monring after turning hide over to cook underside.. seems nice n sorted today so gonna sand n spray n see how me lil corn likes it.
