How do i get Casey over his fear of snakes?
I have tried almost everything, he wont even touch the shed skin..
i tried having him in the bedroom whilst i have P out and he is fine, but the minute i go near him he does what his dad does and so totally over reacts...sure it is a gene his dad has given him...
I have suggested sitting next to me whilst P is out, also tried him with little Nia one my corns
Tried suggesting he can have the baby when i get her..
nothing works, so am up for ideas, cos half of me believes he is just over reacting as he often does this in many situations...
and come to think of it yeah i am sure it is a gene cos his step sister was the same when she was a kid...

I dont think you can. I can only talk of my phobia with Spiders, im pathetic i cant even be in a room if theres one there. If i come home and see one i have to get it out of the room which generally requires the use of a thick rolled up magazine.

Is he scared of worms Anne?
If not, the biggest worm you can find is probably of similar size to a baby corn? |

Nikki was terrified of the following:
Spiders
snakes
wasps
mealworms.
First off, i went and got tarantulas. LOTS of tarantulas. At one point there were aroud 34 in the living room.
Now he is fine with spiders, he still wont hold one, which is fine with me, but he doesnt go exorcist when he see's a spider in the tub now, he just calmly asks for it to be removed.
Next was snakes.
I took him to Tropiquaria where they have a couple of adult common boas which they "drape" around visitors shoulders.
I paid nikki £10 to do it LOL i have photo evidence :D
He hasn't yet held any of my snakes, however he says that he will do, but that he would be a bit nervous at first.
i will let him hold them when i am more confident with them myself LOL.
Mealworms he had to get used to. I explained that since the geckos are his, he should feed them, and if he didnt they would die. so after an exorcist moment where he was screaming and crying, he finally held one. now he doesnt care, they just creep him out.
Wasps are still a bone of contention though, and still results in exorcist moments if one lands on him or buzzes round him. but there's not a great deal i can do about that :s |

| LOL i think nik was scared cos he thought they were slimy, but now he knows they are not. i think he's worried about being bitten, but he's been munched on by rats on 2 occasions (both times the rat made it to the bone >.< ) so i really think he'd be okay if he did get bitten LOL |

well you know how much Casey likes you...Lol...
he hates wasps to, but also is scared of mice especially dead ones....lol...i remember when one of the spinies got out, he would not come off the sofa...lol,
his fears seem so inflated to me sadly.
he is deffo interested in snakes, but i cant get him past the looking stage, but i do have an idea.

How about bribery?
Blindfold him and tell him you're going to put something in his hands and if he can last for 30 seconds he gets a teat of some sort? - Then he'll realise they're not slimy? |

i offered him fifty pence once..lol..
but thats a good idea...though i think he would freak like someone had just shot him or something..lol..
