I heard from one of my school friends two days ago , she lives in Sweden now and have not seen her in years and years...
Anyway, we got talking about stuff we used to get up to when we were in our teens...
and we remembered a film called "The Last Snows Of Spring" we laugh at it now..
but it is about a dad who is too busy to share his motherless son's love.
During a holiday the boy collapses and they find out he has leukemia The dad becomes filled with guilt because of his neglect, stays with his son and they become very close and stuff anyway, the boy dies at the end...
well we were crying the whole way home on the bus and people were giving us weird looks and stuff..i was only thirteen
It was such a great film, but so sad...
I hate to think how i would be if i watched it now i have my own kids...though i would love to see it again, and most of you were still in nappies or not even born when it was released..have never seen it on the tv either..
This film has always been in my top five of fave films..
so have you ever had a film that impacted on you and made you blub like an idiot...

Not films, no. But books have. There are loads and loads of books that have impacted me in that way. "The black magician trilogy" By Trudi Canavan. I cried like a baby at the end of that LOL. "Swansong" by Robert McCammon. "Magician" by Raymond e feist "Servant of the bones," "The vampire Lestat," "Interview with the vampire," "The vampire Armand" and "Lasher," all by Anne Rice. I am ashamed to say that the Harry Potter ones too, have had such an impact on me LOL "Nefertiti" by Michelle Moran. Also, when i was little "Watership down" and "The animals of farthing wood" did it for me, but i was only 8 when i read them (bearing in mind i was a young reader, i read "The Hobbit" aged 8 and "The lord of the rings" aged 9). "Goodnight Mr. Tom" by Michelle Magorian still has a VERY extreme impact on me. There re many many many more books that have affected me, that i love and that i recomend but these are all books off the top of my head that i HIGHLY recomend to all of you :D |
