i dont use one as such, room humidity in this country is fine..

i have a dial thing...but i got a tip of GP once that she was using hers to "monitor" any drastic changes in levels.

they are not accurate , but would still show if something was up...

but...

i do have a moss box in my viv all the time

some do some dont, is just my own preferences...

I have one in each of my vivs. depending on your heat source the viv humidity will differ. I keep a moss hide in viv as well. and keep a check on humidity. But for example. humidity in my room at the minute is only 36%. as WS said even if you only have a dail one you can monitor any big changes. I think most people have noticed that the dial ones seem to be 5-10% out. So where the dial says 55% it could really be 45%-50%. Digital ones are only around £8.

yus already have digital thermometers in both fauns so may aswell look into hydrometer.. which will prolly be another triple8 purchase.just want to make sure initial set up is right ..next thing on the list is to get viv stack right size.. i know its all dependant on how big ya snake gets but from research 3-4 ft vivs are ample enough.. for both corn and royal.

I have never used one. A damp hide during sheeding will do the job fine. Too much humidity (from spraying) will lead to an RI.

why dont you just get a dial one and keep an eye on it, mine nearly always reads at around 40%

if it varies to much at least you will know that somethig is up...

i use mine the way Daz and GP use theres..
