Also had my first none feeder of my 4 royals tonight!
Phoenix my het albino boy just was not interested at all...he even gave me 2 BIG Hisses to tell me to stop dancing a mouse in his face...which set me off in a fit of giggles because I havent had a hiss before and it was so loud and he is so small.
I arent to worried he is usually a complete dustbin and already putting away medium mice at 2 months old......looking at his colours he cannot be to far off a shed. Maybe I missed his eyes clouding over and he is in that miserable time pre-shed. He has been hiding alot!
How long would you recommend leaving before trying again...the fill week or afew days? |

i got problems with all my snakes at the moment. just magaed to get 2 to feed just got one to go. im blaming the weather. ambient room temperature is to cold for them to be interseted in food. heated up the feeding viv for my hatchling corn with a hair dryer fist. only got my yearling corn to feed now but he is in shed so gonna leave him for a while. |

Dont think you are to wrong.....def think its very chilly for them at the min. Mine are hiding away alot more than they usually do as the ground temp and air temp in their hide is nice and toasty but the air temp in the rub must be colder than norm. Building a rub stack soon, the shelves are going to slide out like draws and are going to be nice and snug for the rub to slide in on a shelf so hopefully having 3 of the sides more enclosed should help the ambient air temp increase a litt;e...at the mo they are just on the desk and the floor (bit of a mess).
Lets hope we all have them feeding again soon! |

i agree the ambient temperature is officially 'brrrrr' does anyone use AHS heaters or reptile radiators? i've been looking at them for Marilyn and Queenie (when he gets a bit bigger and goes into a viv) and they heat the whole enclosure but you can still get a temp gradient with either a heatmat or basking lamp (for Marilyn) |
