Going to try monty with his first feed tomorrow,this is his first since i have got him but 2 weeks since his last.I dont know if he will take it but it's worth a try as he seems quite settled(very nosey on the evenings).any tips are welcomed.

Good luck with it, just make sure you dont disturb him before he eats

i want to feed him in a seperate box,so i would have to disturb him a bit.

i handle mine for 5 mins before feeding and let her have a little wander around...

I handle mine also, but then i know shes a good feeder. Its fine to just move them to a feeding box, but its best not to handle it to much on a first feeding attempt.

i agree with matty cos its a first feed..

cos my new girl hasnt fed for a while i wont be handling her at all. she will have weener rat put in her viv and left to it.

YEEEESSSSS!He nailed it,took it nearly straight away,i feel sooo relieved.I have took a little clip of him but a bit dark as i kept the lights low

must be something in the air,glad yours has eaten now.I know it's nothing to worry about but i would'nt of been able to relax if i had to wait weeks for him to feed.cant seem to upload it to youtube,taking forever

Yep. That's the ones. Just trying to figure out a way to get my chinchilla to pee like that. It would save me a fortune in bedding material for his cage.
