I have a coastal carpet, and he is soooo much different to a royal. For a start he is out on show 99.9% of the time (the .1% was when he looked into his hide, then decided he didn't like it)
MUCH quicker and a hell of a lot stronger. Mine is a yearling and I would say roughly 3ft long.

Its nice having a "display" snake (ie one I can actually see) as well as my RP. If only I could get my BRB to make an appearance more than once a week at feeding time it would be great.

Yea the irian jaya was what I was looking at too. They looking stunning. Its interesting to know that I'll see it more than my royal, though I dont mind them being secretive, makes it more exciting when you do see them!! Have to do my research first and convince the hubby that they are very placid, calm and loving snakes hehe! (hes a bit of a *****!!) x
