Is there a rough guide to guessing the approx the size of young royals ie a baby 11 inches or say 15 inches with good body weight and tone????
It just that I was not told exactly how old my girl is....
Hope my question is not too confusing folks |

we can compare her to ours but we need to know her weight and aprox length really.
some of us on here have records so we can say how old ours were at that weight. But it is only a very aprox guide as all grow/feed at different rates. |

It's quite hard to be accurate, I remember seeing a pic of BE's Cleo and Rocky (I think) where they were the same age and cleo was so much smaller. |

Edit - I lied lol. It was Caeser and Cleo was older but smaller. |

Yes, Mulv is right. Unfortunately they all grow at different rates (just like humans), but if you give us her weight and length and feeding routine we could have a guess. |

I'd guess 2 months old and would suggest feeding every 5 days.

Thanks for that I was very unsure when I got her as to their account of her age. Despite being a very good and reputable place. Is that a normal age to sell them then? Any other tips in respect to a Royal of this age would be much appreciated I am absolutly in love with this snake I cannot stop looking at her which is easy as she like to come out and sleep on top of her log/hide. This is the most fascinating animal I have ever kept. |

Its very good that you have a Royal feeding regularly on rats already. Guessing the age is very difficult, especially when coming from a pet shop where a lot only feed a 'maintenance' diet which will keep them going but not enough for them to grow very much. So it could be a bit older. |
