| does anyone know how you treat wild wood to make it safe to have in a viv?. I've heard you have to bake it, but im not sure. |

| You have to strip the bark ( i think) and then soak it in a bleach solution for 3 to 4 hours then bake it at a very low heat, i had a post asking the same on here but cant find it, the answer is there, if i find it i will post it on this bit for you;-) |

As above, soak it in bleach (5 or 10%) and rinse thoroughly. Then dry in an oven or against a radiator.
If its small enough you could probably just put it straight in an oven without the bleach. |

| lol, if its not old dead wood try not to heat it up too much or soak it for too long, it will split or absorb the water like a sponge. |
