I presume he meant water bowl. I would move the water onto the cool side of the viv. How many vents are there in the viv? |

Is anything damp (wood/shavings etc)?
Are you sure its 100% humidity, how are you measuring it? - If it is, there will eb condensation everywhere. |

The dial ones are pretty bad, even at 90% you'd be able to see it visually. |

Sounds silly but have you sprayed anything near the hygrometer? They have holes in the back of them. What did it read before you put it in there? |

Try taking the hygrometer out and see what it says in normal room conditions,it might be faulty. |

I think it might be faulty too- 100% humidity is stupidly high and you would be able to see the moisture in there if it was so high. Even my Rainbow Boa who has her tank sprayed twice a day, has a extra large water bowl and substrate suitable for keeping extra moisture in struggles to stay up in the 90s.
Can you see any moisture in there? Condensation on the glass etc? |

I too have an ET dial hygrometer and it seems to be fine. It may be an idea too take it back and get another one as it may be faulty. For it to read 90% and no sign of condensation does not sound right. It would also depend on where the dial is in comparison to the water bowl or the moss box if you have one. Sounds faulty to me. Finding the correct temps and humidity level can take a while and is a bit of a juggling game. By following the advice and previous posts on her to do with humidity etc, I am am sure that you will have it sorted in no time
