Hi
I've posted this question in the newbie section as well so sorry if im over loading everyone with it!
Im getting my first Royal, an 07 male, 490g. What size RUB would be suitable for him?

Thanks in advance
Anthony.

Just replied with a couple of questions in the intros section. My royal is about the same weight and a CB07. He has a 3ft wooden viv with plenty of cover and lots of hidey holes. Not too sure on what size RUB though. How long is your one?

Are you looking to keep it in a RUB permanently?

It would probably be fine in a well-packed 50L or you could go for something a bit smaller.

No i was planning a RUB for the next few months, probably 6! and then when we move he will have a vivarium. Im very aware of keeping him the same as how he is being kept now (i think its called paranoia, lol)plus its more convenient for me to use a RUB at the moment.
Im going to buy a couple of sizes and pack out a smaller RUB to start as i think 50ltr will be too big!
Any more tips and advise will be much appreciated.

I'd go with an 18L then.

Excellent, will do

Sorry to be a pain asking lots of questions .... any idea the best size exo hides for him? (i know im being vague with his length as i only know he's 490g)as i was thinking a normal cave and then one of those moist ones by exo terra? Plus have a great bit of wood to semi climb (its not that big) and some nice big plants to make it even more under cover

yeah i would go for large ET hides...i just had to move up from the medium. now i got my 08 and my 06 in the large ones...

I would also go for the 50l RUB and pack it out or reduce the size. Will come in handy later for a spare or feeding tub...
