hi there, i wanted to as a quick question, where in the tank should the thermostat probe be placed, mine is somewhat in the middle and we seem to have ok temp gradient,
Well, I have my stat set to heat the warm end then the ambient is what it is. So, I place the probe under his hide in the warm end.

Set your stat to your desired warm end temp then get the probe as close to where your snake spends most of its time (usually a hide)

The important thing to remember is to take the hot spot temperature reading from directly under the bulb as that is where it is hottest. I'm not a fan of having hides directly under bulbs so I try to offset them a bit, just next to the hottest bit under the bulb.
