And it's a tad chilly here today so having the windows open will be a pain! Oh well, best get stripping. The vivs, not me lol.

Best of luck. We're going through the same thing ourselves now with our new girl. We're being very careful not to let it spread to our others. Fingers crossed.

Boys bathed, well, Sas dipped (he doesnt like water) and Boris completely submerged. He didnt want to get out! They are back in their vivs with just their hides and kitchen roll. Looks horrible! How soon should I put all their stuff back in? It's washed and sprayed and drying on the clothes horse!

put all their stuff into a bin bag an spray loads of adrap in there tben leave it outside for 24 hours.
if there are still mites on boris get some olive oil and compleatly cover him with it, you can leave it on and he will go through a shed cycle in a week or so or you can bath him after a few hours this drowns and kills off any mites that are hiding under the scales.
google olive oil mite treatment, when ive had to do this i just left the oil on the snake

Ok, I'm away to use mite off tomorrow but after reading about olive oil I may be doing that later.
Question. When I spray on the mite off, and clean and spray the viv with (can't remember), should I leave her bath out so she can't soak and wash off the mite off?
Been looking through forums and mite off seems to have very mixed reviews.

When I used Mite off i removed the waterbowl for 24 hours... just as a precaution. I cant see it being safe to leave it in there.

Safety wise, mite off is supposed to be safe enough to spray onto the head and is non toxic.
I would guess that means removing the water bowl for safety reasons wouldn't be an issue. Assuming I've read the reviews and companies guide lines properly.
Bracing for the flames.

i have not used mite off myself but as cookie says i would leave the water out for 24hrs.
even though the companies say some products are safe to use on the snake i personally would never spray anything directly onto the them.

my mite treatment would be clean an hoover the viv then spray with callingtons or adrap leave for 24hrs and air out for about 5 hours.

for the snake i would cover in olive oil and put them back after the viv is aired out, with it being a bit cold at night now you will need to keep them warm if your house is cold.

the only time i wouldnt use olive oil is if the snake is going through a shed cycle as the oil makes them go through a shed cycle to get the oil off so if they are already shedding it could cause them to shed prematurly or you can bathe most of the oil off after a couple of hours but they will still probarbly shed due to any oil left on.

just got Boris out and a small mite came off him (alive). Going to the shop to get some oil. I dont understand how they survive being Ardaped and underwater (with a little soap in.

Its so frustrating. So if i cover him in oil how do I know there are no survivors in his viv? I only did it yesterday.

the adrap should kill any mites in the viv. the mites that are still alive will probably be the ones hiding under the scales an behind his eyes

I confess I've not used Ardap, but another keeper I know has and didn't rate it. I've used Callingtons and I know about the horror stories but I found it brilliant and had no problems.

None of my (3) infestations were massive and all were on new snakes in quarantine, but it got rid of the mites quick enough.

I hope the oil works, mites are a pain in the rump!
