Ive only seen 3 under his chin and then a couple that have come off when I handled him. I think I might give Callingtons a go. Just hope I dont gas him out with all the chemicals I have used!

when my friend treats for mites in his rescue center he treats the snakes with oil then treats the vivs with adrap, callingtons and frontline at the same time then puts them back after its dried an aired out

Been shopping. Got some oil. Going for the slippery snake option! This could get messy!

Slippery snake deposited in his box. A couple of little ones came off as I was doing it. He is sulking.

youve probably done it now but just use warm water this will get the worst off an he will go blue in a week or so and get the rest off with the shed

its good fun trying to hold them when oiled up isnt it.
had to help my mate do this with a 15ft an 11stone burmese, that was interesting

Got Boris out and let him slither through some paper towel. A very small mite came off and it was alive! Tearing my hair out now!

probably one that was in the viv any on him will have drowned in the oil. the adrap will kill them when they come into contact with it, could hoover out the viv to get. rid of any left in there

Just an update on Eowyns mites. Two treatments of mite off hadn't got rid of them, so last night we gave her a rub down with kitchen roll sprayed with frontline. We got this from the vet the last time we had mites, and was successful, so fingers crossed again.
I'm following the olive oil treatment with interest just encase.
