HOW: defrost a rat/mouse for about 4 hours. warm up slightly using a hairdryer, heat mat (but not microwave!)
WHAT: You want to feed either a rat or a mouse, the prey item should be about 10-15% of your snakes body weight
WHERE: Most royal python owners feed in there enclosures without problems. some opt to feed them in seperate rubs/boxes
WHEN: Use the guide that blackskull has kindly posted
hope this helps |

Well then, I follow the 10% rule. I feed in my enclosures, and have never had a problem. Some ppl use a separate feeding box. Blackskull's guide is the best set of instructions. |

I think that Charlie12/Morgan is 12 years old and researching snakes.
Please correct me if I am wrong as the ages on your 2 accounts don't match but the 12 bit appears twice. Forgive us for our prying we are just looking to ensure the safety of all the snakes and some of the questions asked are very basic care requirements which is fine if you are just researching snakes, if you own one though it raises concerns. |

you haven't caused trouble - but the fact you are asking these basic questions AFTER you've purchased a snake is a huge concern for the welfare of your animal.
