I am worried sick, he was up my sleeve and he's so light I forgot and when the thought of hm crashed down he wasn't there!
We hunted under everything and pulled stuff out but no sign.
Now I don't know what to do, I could cry and probably will..:(

No we stripped the sofa..he was up my sleeve and I was mostly in the kitchen. I have a bad feeling about it, if he sought darkness he could easily fall down small plumbing holes under the floorboards, in which case chances of finding him are slim. :(

If you think you know where he Might be hiding, try this trick......it worked on my cousins garter snake who kept escaping. If you have a pet shop near you, ask if you can have some used hamster or gerbil bedding (sounds crazy but they will do it for you). last thing at night, put some of it in a small open ended box near where you think your snake may be hiding. The scent from the bedding will eventually draw the snake up, expecially if its near a radiator where the warmth will help the smell to attract your little wanderer. Good luck!

Thanks Kelf,

In that moment my mind wasn't on him, and I can't even say he escaped, I dropped him and didn't notice :(

I'm sure he'll turn up, don't worry too much just yet.

The idea about Hamster bedding is a good one. Ask for bedding from their 'toilet corner', this'll be nice and stinky with wee and the like.

Another idea is, of course, to use a nice stinky defrosted rat/mouse. Leave it in the warm somwhere all day. You won't like the smell but I'm sure Henry will love it ; )

Either way use the bucket trap trick to keep him there once he's found the stinky thing.

I know you said you striped the sofa, but he could well still be in there somwhere. So don't discount that yet either. Be careful when you sit down!

Good luck : )

Just me and my zoo.

as bluedragon says make a load of bottle traps with a pinky in each one
http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/snake-care-sheets/73850-lost-snake-wanna-know-how.html
look at the places near where you had him if it looks too small check in there as the can get into tiny little spaces.
fingers crossed the little fella turns up soon.
can remember if you have a cat or dog if you do watch what their looking at/smelling in the room as they will notice something is there before you do

I don't think we'll find him now, too many gaps he could get under the floor boards :( I get chills everytime I think of him

Don't give up on him set some traps as described when he's hungry he'll come hunting if he found his way down a small gap somewhere he'll find his way out maybe just have your heating turned up for a week so he's warm enough if he's still hanging around
