As others have said, don't give up. Snakes are hardy creatures you know, they can go without mummy for a while ; )

Keep leaving nice stinky rats out in a trap. Snakes like easy meals.

I know it's not quite the same thing, but my mam lost her Corn when she was young. She was devistated, never stopped looking. He'd been missing for three months, then one morning, in winter, she found him... under the front door mat. She said he was like a draught excluder all straight and still. He was very cold, but after a nice warm up and a good feed he was good as new. Didn't effect him at all in the long run.

And even less the same thing. I had two hisser escapies the other week. But even they found their way back home in the end. Seemed once they were sick of being hungry and cold they came back home : )

Anyway, the point is that you shouldn't give up. He'll turn up evetually, probably feeling silly and quite sorry for himself as well.

Just me and my zoo.

Not giving up, Steve is gonna lift a floor board today :)
My worry is that he's likely not just lost, he could have found his way under the boards, and he's too small to climb back out. Hoggies aren't good climbers at the best of times, but under ther is at least a 12" drop.
It dwells on my mind that he wants to come home, but can't and its kiling.

I got some advise when my corn escaped and at first it seemed daft but it worked. Just stop looking then when u least expect it he will come out from where he is hiding and give you a nice surprise. I done it and few days later she just came out and laid in middle of front room as if to say I'm ready to go back home now lol

Try not to treat it like a human Janie will only make it worse, he's most likely perfectly happy wherever he is none of his basic needs will be in danger this soon so he'll more than likely just be curled up somewhere keeping warm.
